Writer's Block: Most memorable concert

[Error: unknown template qotd]

System of a Down, Parc Jean-Drapeau, August 2006, aka MudFest.

What made it magical?
The atmosphere. It rained buckets all day. The 25,000 of us were ankle deep in mud. After queuing for 10 hours in the rain, then waiting in the mud and rain for the show to begin (five opening acts, and except Avenged Sevenfold they really sucked), the second SOAD walked on stage, I'll never forget that feeling.

Everyone was just enjoying the show and the fact that we were all soaking wet and a uniform shade of brown, it created a sense of community I never found in any other concerts I attended after that one.

And that's not to mention the band itself, which nailed it and shredded and were just overall awesome.

To top that, it was my very first concert ever and their last on their own tour (after that they did Ozzfest before 'taking a break').

What's funny is that every new people I met since then know someone who was there and heard about how legendary it was.

Yeah, best concert I ever attended. I'll never forget that night.
