Writer's Block: Lights Out

In 1999 we had a huge ice storm here that shut down the entire province for weeks.
I was 7 years old, just coming back from my Christmas holidays as a first grader.
One day at school before it happened.
The school stayed closed for two weeks. I had a month long Christmas holiday.
The best memories though are camping in my grandparents basement (they had electricity, we didn't) with all my aunts, uncles and cousins for two days and then having a friend over every day for the two weeks because my mother babysat her. It was pretty awesome.
