Found this in my grandparents' house. I'm scarred.



I read some of it, and yeah, it was obviously published in 1963. The part on male homosexuality was the worst, I think. It was basically repeating every goddamned gay stereotypes you can think of, while pretending to be serious.

Luckily, beliefs evolved in the past 40 years.
And did you know sodomy is illegal in Canada before the age of 18? I find it pretty sick.

Just. A "real life example" from that book made me laugh my ass off. They were talking about a delicate man, with next to no body hair and BROAD HIPS.

DAY OFF TOMORROW.
Which means I will be working on my Psych paper all day. At least the subject interests me. I picked teenagers and homosexuality. You know, all the acceptance/doubt/hate/fear that comes with finding out you're gay. It'll be pretty great to work on, but still. I'd rather sit and watch television all day.
Yet I could have to get up at 6am tomorrow, so what am I complaining about?

Off to watch Fight Club. FINALLY.

I'm not a 100% sure it's true--my friend read it in a paper. I'll go check right now, actually.
It's true. Oh my god. I can't believe I live in a country where there's a law against anal sex before 18. The site said it's been brought in court and all so it would change but so far it hasn't and fuck if it's gonna happen with Harper as Prime Minister.
The man who wanted to ask the government to vote again to see if they would let gay marriage happen or not. So, basically, he wanted to take it away. Oh and abortion. And he wanted to send 14 year-olds in prison.
*shuts up*

Those homophobic laws piss me off so much. But you know what pisses me off even more?
The fact that if you support gays and fight for their rights, people always assume you are. Or not assume, but you just know they wonder if you are or not.
I can do papers on homosexuality and lose my temper whenever someone says something homophobic without being a lesbian!

Wtf with that law! That's so stupid. It amazes me that there are still homophobic people - at this day and age. Some things never change.
Also, FUCKING YES with the whole supporting gay rights thing. Just because you support gay rights, it doesn't automatically mean that you're gay yourself ¬_¬
I mean, people support child abuse charities, but that doesn't make them child abusers, does it?
